Mobile flood protection DPS 2000®

The threat of flooding requires a rapid response. To combat impending water masses, well thought-out and effective measures are required. Our patented DPS 2000® protection system is characterised by various features that set it apart from competing products.
Concept

The DPS 2000® flood protection system is a dismountable flood protection barrier in which aluminium stop logs are stacked above one another between central aluminium supports.

A particularly pronounced interlocking of the stop logs ensures that the individual elements interconnect tightly – an effect that is further enhanced when the profiles are filled with water, thereby ensuring significantly higher impermeability.

Stop logs

They form the basis of the flood protection barrier and already offer enormous stability due to their special shape:

  • Width: 100 mm
  • Height: 200 mm and 250 mm (combinable)
  • Length: up to 7.00 m – depending on expected loads, static constraints and the impact needing to be handled
  • Surface: powder coated / anodised
  • Weight: 7.0 – 7.5 kg per running metre
  • Material: aluminium alloy EN AW-6063 T66
Supports

Dismountable central supports are used for longer safety barriers and are available in different versions:

  • Standard supports for use with water levels up to 2.00 m
  • TDB props for use with greater damming heights and/or extreme load cases; if necessary, a version with a reinforced base is also available
  • Weight: 17.0 or 23.0 kg per running metre
  • Material: aluminium alloy EN AW-6063 T66 or EN-AW 6005-T6

Structure

Step one:

The blind screws are removed from the permanently installed anchor plates and any covering plates on the side rails are removed.

Step two:

Application in the event of flooding: central supports are placed in position and tightened by hand.

Step Three:

Assembly of the mobile elements: the stop logs are stacked on top of each other and braced vertically.
